Meirion Jones
A Winds of Change Exhibition at Barnbury –
Meirion Jones is a painter from Cardigan in West Wales. He studied at The Dyfed College of Art and The University of Wales. After being a teacher for ten years, he threw his hat in the ring and became a full time painter around the turn of the millennium. Until 2017 he would usually exhibit with late his father, Aneurin Jones, but has now started showing with his wife, the painter Joanna Jones.
“The subjects are usually the landscape of West Wales and figurative work, but the crucial factor is light, the light which brings everything alive”.
